There are more and more people joining the ranks of World of Warcraft every day. Nobody can get enough of this game and there are plenty of reasons why. In WoW, you can escape the realities of everyday life. Just relax, do a few dailies to make a little gold, and just have fun with friends - not a bad way to spend an evening. And as you do this, you'll naturally make gold over time.


However, there may come a time when you want to get a little more out of the time you spend in the game. There are items that cost 20,000 gold, and surely you want those items. This means that in order to get the most out of your WoW experience, you'll have to make gold as quickly as possible.

The Basics

But how do you do this? There are several things to keep in mind when trying to make gold quickly in WoW by doing dailies. You probably already know that daily quests award you with gold for completing them. And initially, in WoW, items do not cost that much gold to purchase. But eventually, the items become very expensive, especially the best of the best items you'll want to get when you hit level cap. So, you need a game plan to be able to afford all the items you want, if you want them before the end of time.


Focus on Gold

When you want to build up a stockpile of gold quickly in WoW, you have to supplement your regular activites with activities designed specifically to make you a lot of gold. Doing dailies is a great way to make a lot of gold quickly. All daily quests pay out gold when you complete them. The key is to pay attention to the amount of gold each daily rewards you with when you complete them. You should also take time into consideration when trying to make gold fast in WoW using dailies. If you can make 200 gold, but it takes you 5 hours to do it, that's not very much gold per hour. There are good ways to make a lot of gold per hour, such as optimized speed gold dailies runs.

World of Warcraft is a great game that can bring hours of enjoyment. Here are some World of Warcraft tips that maybe not everybody knows about yet.

Make a "bank alt." This is simply a level one character that you leave next to the bank or auction house in a major city. Instead of taking the time for your main character to fly or ride to the auction house you simply mail the items to your level one character. Then once your auction sells you can mail the gold back to your main character or anybody else who needs it.

If you are making use of your bank and bag space you should organize it. If you have quest items it really helps if you put them in the same bag every time. This makes them much easier to locate. You can also sort your items by gear. A lot of people have different sets for different talent builds. Putting all the novelty items in the same place really helps, too. A novelty item is something that has no actual effect on game play, like a cool looking tabard.

Use the minimap to find things. The minimap in the top right corner has the ability to show you where nearby flight paths, profession trainers, reagent vendors, or herbs or mining nodes are. If you need to find one of these, quit looking around in frustration and find the yellow dot on your map. A lot of new players get excited when they find a town they have never been to before. They go around talking to all the NPCs, getting quests, checking out new vendors and exploring. This is great, but the first thing you should do at any new location is tag the flight path. This ensures that you have the capability to return to that location without walking or riding or flying there.

Make use of your hearthstone. Your hearthstone is on a 30 minute cooldown but it can transport you to any town you have it set to. This is a really powerful ability. It means you can go complete a quest, then hearth back to town and turn it in. If you have it set to Shattarah or Dalaran you can have access to any of the towns that those cities can port you to.

A much less common use of a hearthstone is to save yourself in combat when in a raid or instance when something goes horribly wrong. Say you are in a big raid and the tank dies. This usually means the mob or boss is going to kill the rest of the raid. It is possible for a quick thinking player to use their hearthstone to escape to safety. This is usually only something you should do with a group you are planning on leaving anyway.

If you have a list of friends, use the power to make notes about people This can be their professions, who they are in real life, what they want from you, or almost anything. It can really come in handy when you need a jewelcrafter or enchanter and don't want to ask around in trade chat for one. Hopefully, at least one of these World of Warcraft tips come in handy on your next visit to Azeroth.

In World of Warcraft, rogues have this side skill called Lockpicking. It is for them to unlock doors and boxes that lead to more treasure or just a shortcut through dungeons.

Lockpicking is not a skill a rogue can simply learn by adding skill points. They actually need to go through a quest to get that skill. In the early days a lot of rogues do not know they need to take the quest to gain the skill. In fact, most of them don't even know that they can learn lockpicking.

Leveling the lockpicking skill is not easy at all. Rogues can open trainer boxes until a certain level and then they need to keep finding higher level boxes to train their skill further. Higher level boxes are rare and hard to find. There are guides that tell the rogues where to go to train their skill on locked doors.

For the original game, World of Warcraft lockpicking was quite important to the community. The players kill monsters for quest and to level. They receive loot from it and some of these loots are boxes.

At low levels these boxes can be easily opened by using keys that are made by the blacksmith or getting the rogue to lockpick it. After that, higher level boxes would require a high level lockpicking skill to open it. Rogues also depend on these high level boxes so they can max out their lockpicking skill.

Back then, rogue's World of Warcraft lockpicking was considered an important skill. Players would leave tips to rogues who help them open these boxes and lockpicking was made as their money maker.

Then in dungeons, players would enlist the help of rogues to pick locked doors. This is for speed runs where you would skip hunting down the monster that has the key and jump straight to the boss.

Also in the dungeons, players can find treasure chests that contain loot. Locked treasure chests contain the best chance to get rare loot. Dungeon groups would need to bring a rogue if they wanted to open the locked chest.

Since then, Blizzard felt that the community was too reliant on the World of Warcraft lockpicking skill the rogues had. They tried to reduce the need of having a rogue in a party by making newer dungeons without any doors you could lockpick. They also gave blacksmiths the ability to make higher level keys to open higher level boxes.
